Welcome to Best Ladder Access!
My name is Gareth and I am a current working Site Manager for a large construction company.
I have a BSc(Hons) in Construction Management and have worked in the construction industry for over 30 years. For over 25 of those 30 years, I have been a site manager for several well known house builders and developers.
One of my tasks is ensuring that health and safety procedures are followed and people under my supervision go home safely.
Where possible, we try to eliminate any working at height without using inspected scaffolds but often, we have to perform short term tasks at height.
I came up with the idea of creating a website to give people as much information as possible who don’t happen to work in the construction industry.
Within a domestic environment, the homeowner will not be bound by Health & Safety policy, guidelines or approved codes of practice.
Our goal however is to help homeowners to make informed decisions when purchasing their next ladder and to ensure it is fit for purpose. We also wish to impart the knowledge we have and use in the construction industry to keep us safe, and ultimately, keep you safe.
You can check out our ladder safety article here.
So, feel free to browse around the site, take in some information and hopefully make an informed decision.
Take care, and above all, ensure you take your next step carefully!
